Think seriously about installing a modern light rail system initially from the Wellington Railway Station to Courtenay Place. Each light rail vehicle can carry 300 or 400 passengers, many more than a bus, even a double deck bus. Use tried and tested technology, do not dabble with hybrid technology, especially at public expense. Do it right, do it once. In time, the light rail system can be extended to the airport and the hospital, in the meantime, continue using the trolley buses as feeders to the light rail system.
Make the city accessible and safe, this will attract cultural and business development. Protect and enhance parks and natural environments
